It’s My Birthday Week: Give Me a Sale as a Present, I Give You a Coupon!

Until December 1 pay only $1.99 for “Finding Gaia” at Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/180554

Coupon Code: WF24T

(You can also buy it at Amazon and other stores listed here but those don’t let me make coupons, sorry! It’s $4.99 everywhere else.)

You get a geeky book about immortals with superpowers trying to live in the real world and also having hot, loving sex.

I get a sale, and sales make me happy!

If you’ve already bought it but you still want to give me something for my birthday, you could always post a review on Smashwords, Amazon, Goodreads, or elsewhere. Reviews are pretty much the only thing that convinces a non-friend to buy a book. Even a short, honest review convinces people to buy. I cannot overstate the importance of doing this for every indie author you want to support.

If you’ve already posted a review but you still want to give me something because you are just that awesome you could buy a copy for a friend and/or share the coupon as widely as you like.

So many ways to give. So many ways to share the love. So many ways to avoid having Trish hunt you down by instead sharing her clear and obvious status as the main character (SHHH! DO NOT TELL HER SHE IS ONLY A SECONDARY CHARACTER!) with everyone you know.

And it’s still cheaper than the 55 gallon drum of lube.

Remember: Smashwords and most of the other sales sites let you read the first few chapters for free. Go do that and when you’re hooked, use the coupon.

PS Still waiting for a paper version? I’m still waiting for enough people to commit to a Kickstarter for that. Tell me you’ll do that (recognizing that it’s a big book so a print edition will probably cost $25ish plus shipping) and get another couple of dozen folks to do likewise and I’ll make it happen.

Read an Ebook Week

Smashwords is hosting “Read an Ebook Week” in which thousands of authors will be offering their ebooks free or deeply discounted from March 2 through 8. Whatever you like to read, there’s bound to be something for you!

Or go to https://www.smashwords.com/books/category/1/newest/1 for listings of thousands of other free and discounted ebooks. All major formats available so whatever your device, there’s a book for you!

Spread the word! Give a friend an ebook!

(And yes I think it’s funny that there’s a kid on the graphic, given that my books are not kid-friendly. Maybe that’s little Jason before he knew what an endless, painful path lay before him…)

Give The Gifts of Superpowers, Hot Sex, and Environmentalism!

Use coupon code VK38B to pay only $3.99 for “Finding Gaia” until December 26 at Smashwords.

Other stores (including Amazon) listed at http://findinggaia.com/book, but the coupon only works at Smashwords.

“Finding Gaia” is One Year Old!

Go to https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/180554 and use coupon code ZS42F to pay only $2.99 until July 12. If you’ve already bought it and enjoyed it, now is a perfect time to tell your friends or buy a copy for them! Smashwords lets you gift copies to an email address really easily.

Other stores don’t let me offer coupons, but if you don’t want to use Smashwords you can still help me celebrate at the regular $4.99 price at these stores:

Limited Time Coupon

In celebration of getting some unpleasant pricing issues sorted out between big retailer platforms (summary: I was getting hosed because of them playing off of each other without my consent), I’m offering a 25% off coupon at Smashwords until Sunday, May 12. Just use code RU98Z at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/180554 to pay only $3.74.

Smashwords treats authors better and pays us a higher royalty while offering readers unlimited downloads in all major formats so they can switch between devices as needed.

The book remains on sale at the stores listed on the sidebar for the regular price of $4.99.

It’s My Birthday – Mega “Finding Gaia” Sale!

I’ve created a $3 off coupon for “Finding Gaia” at Smashwords. Use code TD72Z to get it for $1.99, the lowest price ever, until November 29. I have no plans to repeat this and I don’t do free giveaways, so if you’ve been telling me all this time that you want to read it but can’t afford to, this is your one and only chance to get it this cheap!

Go to https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/180554 where you can read the first few chapters for free and then use code TD72Z for 60% off. If you dig it, please tell your friends and post reviews! We #indieauthors survive by word of mouth so please help out with that!

If you’ve already read it and are one of those people pestering me to hurry up and write more, please share this coupon because it’s going to take a lot of sales at this low price for me to put a dent in the debt and move on to the next expenditure.

And again, if you really like free stuff, there’s a free bonus love scene plus the first two chapters here.

If you want more information, you can find tons of it at http://findinggaia.com, including other stores (although the coupon only works at Smashwords). I posted a suggested soundtrack of music that fits the various scenes. I drew the main setting in Sketchup (badly) and posted the file plus screen caps so you can go see the layout of Jason’s mansion. There are character profiles there, and for those who dig Trish, she’s got a Twitter, blog, and G+ page.

If you’re holding out for a paper version, tell me so here because I’m not doing it unless I’m certain enough people want it.

If you’re a book blogger and want to do interviews or other promotions, I’m open to that. Just ask.

If you’re on Goodreads, you can add it there plus review it and vote for it on lists. You can also add me as a friend/fan and I add back. A super way to help there is to tell groups you’re involved with about the book and maybe even suggest it for a monthly read. In fact, if someone got it on the Vaginal Fantasy hangout I’d be forever grateful! I think it would suit them perfectly but I’m not well-known enough to get their attention.

So for my birthday, I’m giving you a great deal and really hope the gift you’ll give me in return is buying it, reading it, and spreading the word.

Because c’mon, I’m 40 now…I ancient and could die any day so motivate me to stop playing Civ and hurry up and WRITE ALL THE THINGS before I keel over. I’m not immortal like these characters!

UPDATE: I just put my cake decorating books on sale for my birthday too.

The Great Indie Anti-Black-Friday Promo

Some fellow independent authors, artists, and musicians and I are banding together on Google+ to help give holiday shoppers a unique and positive way to spend this weekend and beyond. Come get great deals on indie creations and help spread the word!

The Great Indie Anti-Black-Friday Promo on G+

My offering is a $1 off coupon (VP87S) for “Finding Gaia” at Smashwords plus a reminder that you can still get the free bonus love scene to that novel (plus the first two chapters).

Buy your friends and family some excellent indie gifts this holiday!

Free Hot Sex

I just posted a free ebook with an extended love scene from “Finding Gaia”, plus the first two chapters of the full novel. It’s available from Smashwords or Goodreads at the moment with hopefully more stores to come via Smashwords distribution.

The Power of a Blush

I’ve also posted a bunch of updates all over the website, including links to more stores, a DRM-Free logo to highlight my commitment to making sure my readers truly own the books they pay for, and some new reviews.

Also check out Trish’s new blog EcoSnark if you haven’t seen it already (she got in trouble with her Gaia Global blog so she archived that). You can now talk to her on Twitter and Google+ as well, but remember that she exists in current time, which is about five years before “Finding Gaia” takes place, so if you make references to the book she won’t understand what you’re talking about. And since it’s Trish, she’ll probably swear at you if you confuse her too much. Or maybe she’ll swear at you because it’s a day of the week. That’s Trish for you.

If you’re a fan and want to help promote “Finding Gaia”, please share the link for “The Power of a Blush” or spread around copies as much as you’d like. You can also help by telling friends about the book, posting reviews on Goodreads, Smashwords, and Amazon, or even voting for it in various Goodreads lists.

Enjoy the free hot sex…the characters certainly did!
